Jack Ready to Race

With the boys heading down on Friday to set up for Saturday Practice sponsored by

www.breezeevents.co.uk

Saturdays weather was sunny but chilly after the rain on Friday we were all expecting to be soaked all weekend, but mother nature proved us wrong. Sunday being cold but we were dry.

Now this weekend we decided to not just run in the Clubman Class we also decided to do the Cadet Class, for more seat time and practice for the 2020 karting season. With lots we want to do next year, we have decided to do as much as we possibly can and what a day it was.

This weekend was a little crazy as we had to change the set up between each race all hands on deck as we had about 25 mins to get everything changed between races. Was definitely an experience which looks like it will now be monthly. (oh no poor mechanic)

Last Minute talk

With all of Team Stour there for support this weekend, Lets start with the Cadet Class, it was a small race only 8 drivers. Qualifying 8th which the team was happy about as lap times were very close. Keeping up with the other drivers.

Heat 1 started 8th finished 6th as we say progression.

Pre Final Started 6th Finished 7th

Final started 7th finished 8th with some hard racing and battling from everyone a little bumping (rubbings racing)

Happy with the early progression Next months going to be an interesting race weekend as we will be in the Cadet race again.

Going for the overtake

Now for the Clubman both drivers were racing in the clubman race.

Both had an amazing qualifying bouncing up and down the alpha timing until the end. Where Jack Qualified 8th and Ryan Qualified 10th.

Both excited for heat 1 where Jack moved up and down but finished 8th and unfortunately Ryan getting mixed up with an accident finishing 16th.

Pre final Jack starting 8th finishing 10th Jack feeling a little frustrated at losing a couple of places but happy with his overall start for the final. Ryan making up two places and coming 14th.

After a long day of racing jumping between the cadet and the clubman the final race of the day was the clubman final, both boys pulling out fast lap times and pushing hard.

The final both boys looking at it is as nothing to lose. Jack racing hard and following the front pack and finishing in 10th with Ryan also finishing where he started 14th.

Pushing hard

Overall the weekend was fun and great practice for the 2020 season. With our power provided by Rpm race engines https://www.rpmpower.co.uk/

We are now looking forward to this weekend at Whilton Mill. Going with the same moto and plan of Progression. Roll on Saturday!!!

If only we knew what was going through his head whilst this photo was being taken. What we like to see at Jack Jack Racing and at Stour Race development a Happy racer.

Look at that smile
